Employer Partnership

We are looking for organizations that can take on ideally 2 data analysts starting mid-January (they are currently in training). We've found that placements in pairs work better for both interns and the organizations.

The internships can be in person, hybrid or fully virtual. Ramsey County funds $3,000 towards their internship so it's at no cost to the organizations (this end up being around 15-20 hours/week - so just under 12 weeks). Interns are hired under Hack the Gap, so organizations don't have to worry about adding them to their HR systems. Participating organizations can range in size and location.

Why host an internship?

  • Think of interns as your productivity superheroes. They jump right into projects and handle those important but time-consuming tasks. This means your regular team can zero in on the bigger stuff, without sweating the small stuff. It’s all about making the workplace more dynamic and getting more done without overloading anyone. Plus, it’s always nice to have some extra hands on deck!

  • Engaging interns is like planting seeds for your future team. You get to witness their skills and potential firsthand, providing a unique opportunity to identify and nurture tomorrow's leaders and specialists. Think of it as a strategic approach to talent acquisition. You’re not just filling roles for today, you’re scouting out the pros of tomorrow. And for those interns who really stand out? They could be the perfect candidates for full-time positions down the line, streamlining your hiring process and trimming recruitment costs.

  • By joining our internship program, your company not only shows its dedication to community growth and social responsibility, but also creates valuable mentorship opportunities for your current staff. It’s a way to blend community contribution with internal team development, as your employees gain new perspectives and fresh energy from mentoring the interns. This approach enriches both your organization and the wider community.
