Project Showcase: FundFare

Description: FundFare is an app that partners with metropolitan citizens to pay their rides forward and gives free rides to those in need. FundFare partners with cities to integrate the “FundFare” feature in their pre-existing transit apps. Citizens can round up their totals and/or give rides to those in need.

Team Members: Aaliyah Dick, Kendra Plant, Pandora Vang, Denise Lor

Achievements: 1st place at the September 2022 Hackathon


Project Showcase: Mobile Market Alert

Description: Mobile Market Alert is an app designed to keep users informed about nearby farmers’ markets, food shelves, and free meals. Through partnerships with cities, the project integrates into existing systems, maximizing its reach and impact. This innovative approach addresses food insecurity.

Project Showcase: GREDA (Go Recycle Every Day)

Description: A progressive web application (PWA) designed to promote recycling among users. The platform leverages the power of REACT to provide an engaging and user-friendly experience. By encouraging recycling behaviors, it aims to reduce environmental impact and gain sustainability in communities.

Technologies Used: React, Progressive Web App (PWA) framework, HTML/CSS and JavaScript

Achievements: 3rd place at October 2019 Hackathon / Tech Community Prize ( most votes from attendees )
